You know you need a vacation when ..... You stand in a Starbucks line waiting for your cup of morning caffeine, over hear a conversation spoken in Italian, and for one fleeting moment ... for one mere second ... you thought you were standing somewhere far far way in Venice or Tuscany, Italy enjoying this beautiful weather. All the stress about deadlines at work... all the stress about getting the laundry done... all the stress about getting lunch/dinner ready for the baby ... all just seem to just disappear for that one moment.
Ever since Jayden was born, Patrick and I had not taken a vacation yet. With the crazy babysitting schedule and work, we haven't even given a thought. But now that Jayden is able to eat most table food... and can walk on his own!! ... maybe it is time for us think about a short family vacation. I am still hesitant on taking Jayden on the plane because I will feel so embarrass/bad if he cries throughout the whole ride. Perhaps a local drive somewhere will be nice.... ???
