The Good News....

Illinois will finally be a smoke-free state! Yipee!! The new law, which goes into effect Jan. 1, 2008, means smokers will have to take their butts outside because the new Smoke-Free Illinois Act bans smoking in public places -- including bars, restaurants and work places. Under the law, people still will be allowed to smoke in their homes, cars, at retail tobacco shops, in certain hotel or motel rooms and outdoors.
The Bad News...

A cup of Starbucks coffee will cost more next week. Starbucks Corp. is raising its coffee prices by an average of 9 cents a cup on July 31. Spokeswoman Bridget Baker attributed the increase to a rising "cost of environment," including increased dairy, fuel, and energy costs.
This sucks! Like they don't already charge enough for their coffee!! Yes.. there are other places in which I can go to get a cup of coffee. But I have not found one comparable to the Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha that I crave every morning on the way to work!! Oh well, I guess I will just have to suck it up and pay that extra 9 cents. =(

Hey, you guys have a really nice coffee maker and blender at home. Why don't you make friends with someone who works at or has worked for Starbucks and find out the recipe for your favorite drinks. Frozen, blended drinks will be hard but hot and iced flavored coffees are pretty easy. Believe me, I found a bottle of hazelnut flavor shot at Jewel and now I can make a great hazelnut latte at home. Just something to think about.
I love Starbucks Coffee.
funny thing
alot of starbucks stuff u cannot buy
Like the WHITE mocha syrup and the classic syrup they put in alot of drinks... INCLUDING my FAVORITE
Shaken Passion Ice Tea Lemonade-- Sweetened. YES i order it that way all the time.
This reminds me of another story at work. We order our daily DRUG order form a drug distributor MCKESSON. A few months ago our store got charged an upcharge of $5 dollars for each delivery. I didnt say much for the first few times. Then one time i got curious and called them up. They said because of the increasing cost of FUEL they are charging us more. So I said OK. The next day when i saw our driver who delivered the drugs i told him about it. The funny thing.. is the driver got upset. He was like, each driver is responsible for their own gas!!!
WHAT A RIP!
We are doing that at Cardinal Health. Since we deliver our doses to hospitals as far as Illinois Masonic, Good Shepherd (Barrington), Dreyer (Aurora), the bean counters had to make sure that rising fuel cost doesnt effect their profit margins.
I think the gas industry are full of it. And those jerks a BP are dumping crap in our drinking water. Ive always hated BP/Amoco and I make a conscience effort to avoid getting gas from them. Plus their gas are more expensive than Shell, Mobil, and Citco. I go to my local Mobil b/c i gotta support my fellow Koreans that own it and I go to Citco near work b/c its cheap.
