We're Back!!

Patrick and I came back from our honeymoon from Spain this past week. Pics will slowly be posted in our Gallery -- so check back often to see what is new!

Spain was absolutley BEAUTIFUL! I was really surprised. When I think of romantic cities, Paris, Venice, Rome, etc., comes to mind -- but who would have thought that Sevilla, Sergovia, or Toledo would be so sweet too!?! We joined a 14 days tour with Globus - so naturally, there were many things that Patrick and I wanted to see but didn't have the time. So we would will definitely go back again ... =)

We were lucky to be in Pamplona for the annual running of the bulls. And let me tell you... Spaniards are CRAZY when it come to this event!! Everyone in that city probably only wore white and red for the entire week. It was quite a site! Though Patrick and I did not run with the bulls literally (we watched it from our hotel TV -- we thought that it was safer! Haha). We did, however, manage to scalp some tickets to see a bull fight. The Bull Fight. I hate it. I don't care it is culture (and trust me, for 1/2 the trip, our tour director tried convincing the group to like it!!) -- it is cruel. I can't justify the killing of 6 bulls per night and every day of the week (and in many cities of Spain!) just for the sake of "culture".

Another thing that was unique was SIESTA time. Haha. Gotta love how European work -- They close all their stores around 1:30pm in the afternoon for their lunch/nap and re-open around 5pm. That's cool! =) But don't get sick around that time -- because all the pharmacy are closed too!!

As for dinner, Spaniard eat LATE! I mean... LATE -- like around 10pm!! I guess that is due partly because of the long day time hours. Sun generally set around 9:30pm there. I liked it because it gives us more time after dinner to walk around the city. =)

I realized after this trip ... I want to get a new camera. Preferably a SLR. Any suggestions??

Spain seems like a wonderful place to visit. I definitely need to check out Europe one of these days. As for getting a new camera, the only thing I can suggest is to beware of the super compact ones. They’re so light that the pics often come out blurry from the slightest hand movements.

All these pics were taken on a Canon SD500 which is small enough to fit in a front shirt pocket.
Good camera, but Michelle wants more from a camera that no compact could do.

Thinking of getting a Nikon SLR =)

JUST BUY IT!
