My 1st Facial

On Sunday, my mom dragged me to my very 1st facial. With the wedding being only a couples of months away, I figured it is time I start to do some last-minute work on my face. Hahaha...

Though they recommend that you do a facial once a month --- after my 1st experience, I am not too sure I am willing to commit myself to that type of committment yet. First of all, I am not really a "spa"-type of person. Being pampered and having massages are fine -- but I can live without it. Not a necessity for me (at this moment). So, having to lie down for about 1 and 1/2 hour in a facial place was not my "cup of tea". Perhaps I was too nervous ... I just felt really uncomfortable.

For those who had a facial done before, how can you gals (or guys) breathe under that steam that they keep blowing in your face?!?! I thought I was going to have an asthma attack and die on that bed!! It was just horrible. I had to keep moving my face away from the steam just to catch some fresh air!!

Plus, at the end, when the facialist placed a thick mask all over my face (including the eyelids)... I felt like I was buried alive. It was an awful feeling to not be able to tell if my eyelids were open or closed because of the thick mask. It was a really weird and creepy feeling. Hard to explain.

Last but not least ... through the mist of not being able to breathe and the feeling of being buried alive --- I had to PEE!! For a person who have a bladder the size of a peanut --- that 1 and 1/2 hour was a LONG time! I had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the whole cleansing process! The rainforest music in the background with the waterfall sounds did not help me either! Hehe.

So .. all in all... my 1st facial was "unique" and I am not really looking forward to another one in May. The price I pay to be a pretty bride! *sigh*
