30 Mins Meals

On Sunday, Patrick and I tried our 1st Rachael Ray's 30-Mins Meals recipe. We made sweet vermouth sauce for the steaks and scallops, and a side dish of steam asparagus. The recipe also called for strawberry balasmic vinegarette salad -- but we were not able to find good strawberries in the local market so we just improvised with garden mixed salad with balasmic vinegaratte dressing.

We TIVO the show -- so we were watching as we cook. The meal (surprisinly) actually only took us about 30 mins to cook! We really enjoyed the sauce. It was quite good!! *drooling again* Definitely a recipe I would try to make a again! The steamed asparagus turned out nice too -- not over-cooked.

Though the meal took only 30 mins to cook ... the clean-up took about 1 hour! Haha. Frying those steaks and scallops on the stove-top had the oil splattering everywhere! Oh well, it is the price I pay until I learn how to organize myself better in the kitchen! Hehe.

BTW --- WE BOOKED OUR TOUR TO SPAIN FOR THE HONEYMOON! CAN'T WAIT! =)

Yeah, What the heck is Vermuth??
It took us like 20 mins to find it!
