I bought this a few weeks ago with high hopes..
ROOMBA!!
If you don't know what it is, let me explain it to you. A roomba is a robotic floor vac which boasts AI. It has actual artifical intelligence and uses the same technology they use for the robots in space as well as the robots used to defuse bombs. However, this application is more for the END user application. More specfic, the LAZY end user! It takes it over 1 hour to vac a small room where it would probably take you 15 mins with a regular broom. But the thing is, you dont HAVE to do it! The neat thing about it is that it goes around the room and runs back to its base to recharge when it is almost out of engery!
It was a neat gaget that i had, but alas, it had to be returned because of financial reasons. But to all who dare to be lazy in a COOL way, Kudos to you!

you need the one that recharges itself when it is about to run out of battery.
this one just dies when out of batter and it takes 7 hours to charge vs 3 hour quick charge!

Yes, the Roomba is not a good vacuum. Or a good robot. All that propaganda about technology used in space is junk. Don't believe it. If you want a real robotic vacuum, check out this link

This robot will return to its charger automatically and recharge itself. Also, it uses real robot logic to clean a room, not Roomba's random path method.
But, if you can't afford a Roomba, you definitely can't afford a Trilobite.

but to be honest, the vacumm pattern on the unit looks the same as roomba and it returns to its base too when done with a vac. I let my roomba run amuk upstairs and i could see the vacumm patterns in the carpet. It even went thru the closets throughly.
i think the past roombas had faults, but this one has almost the same features and being like 1/4 the price of trilobite, it maybe a DEAL. Recharging base, Spot detection where it re-runs a trouble spot,and the same 1-2 hour usage. The roomba has a 3 hour quick charge. I wasnt able to find the charge time on this unit. It has stair detection too as well as virutal wall stuff. The sucking power is probalby different ratings, but i can compare that off paper.
